Arrow Valley Solar Community Benefit Fund
We believe that the communities closest to Arrow Valley Solar should share the benefits of the project. That means listening to local people about what matters most, and working with residents, community groups and local representatives to understand where support could make a real difference.
We will put in place an Arrow Valley Solar Community Benefit Fund and will provide funding each year the Scheme is in operation, based on its capacity, for local projects and initiatives that help strengthen community life, support local priorities and leave a lasting legacy for communities nearby.
We may work with an independent charity or community foundation to manage this Fund, which could support initiatives such as:
- Skills, training and education opportunities
- Support for projects that help with the cost of living, including energy bills and household resilience
- Community-led decarbonisation projects
- Funding for local clubs, societies, events and volunteer groups
- Improvements to community facilities
- Nature, heritage and wellbeing projects
Community Benefit Fund: Have Your Say
No one knows these communities, or what would make the biggest difference locally, better than the people who live here. That is why we want to hear your ideas and priorities for the Fund at this early stage. Should consent be granted, we will then work with local stakeholders to help shape the Community Benefit Fund which is expected to be in place for the start of construction.
