Landowners
To connect Arrow Valley Solar to the national electricity network, an underground cable route is required to link the project’s solar sites to the grid connection point. As part of our early scoping work, we have identified a potential cable route corridor. This is a broad area within which the cable route could be located, allowing flexibility as the design is refined.
We have begun contacting landowners within this corridor, as well as a small number of landowners just outside it where ponds may need to be surveyed.
The corridor has been identified following an assessment of alternative options, taking account of environmental and planning constraints, proximity to residential properties and other sensitive receptors, constructability, access to suitable highways, and overall route length. Sensitive environmental constraints such as Ancient Woodland have been avoided.
Further environmental and technical surveys are required to inform design development and further refine the corridor.
We will hold a public consultation in late 2026, providing an opportunity for residents and community members to give formal feedback on our refined proposals. We then expect to contact landowners about the refined corridor towards the end of this year, at which point voluntary agreements will be discussed where relevant.
